Walk to Design City from one of the "coolest airports in the world"
Among the many advantages of the Direct Energy Centre, Canada's most advanced trade show facility and the home of Design City, is that it's within walking distance of Toronto Island Airport (Billy Bishop Airport). The airport is the home base of popular Porter Airlines, and is also served by Air Canada.
While we know most Design City attendees will take the short five-minute cab ride from the airport to the doors of the Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place in downtown Toronto, we have heard stories of visitors walking from the airport. It's a pleasant stroll through the Harbourfront neighbourhood and Coronation Park on the waterfront.
Dubbed "one of the coolest airports in the world" by Peter Greenberg of CBS Today, Toronto Island Airport is served by Porter's super-comfortable Q400 aircraft, with frequent flights to and from:
Design City is a special feature of Print World: The World of Shorter-Run Printing. Porter is Print World's official air carrier. Design City visitors receive at 20% discount by using Promo Code PWS12 when booking (available after 1 May 2012).
Air Canada also flies between Toronto and Ottawa out of Toronto Island Airport, and of course the Direct Energy Centre is only a 25-minute drive from Pearson International Airport, Toronto's main air hub served by all major Canadian, U.S. and international airlines.
Design City and Print World's downtown location makes it close to all major cultural and entertainment attractions. Print World's official hotel, the Hyatt Regency, is located on King St. West in the heart of Toronto's entertainment district, perfect for dining with clients and prospects. The new Bell TIFF Lightbox, home of the Toronto International Film Festival, is across the street.
Book your room at the Hyatt Regency before Oct. 15, 2012 and get special Print World rate $139/night single or double.
